Ive put weight on over the years, and Im the biggest ive ever been (size 18). I went shopping for jeans today, and now I feel like I want to jump off a cliff 😂😭

What jeans do you all buy that are good length, fit round the bum, and disguises your belly (at least a little bit)

I do prefer a skinny/slim, high waisted style - is this where I am going wrong?

For reference, im 5'5", size 18, and hold weight round the middle

Skinny jeans are not really in fashion at the moment, and if you carry your weight in the middle, then they emphasise that. What other shapes have you tried?

Marks and Spencer EVA jeans, slim bootleg, lovely and comfortable and true to size.

Levi 501’s ( skinny)
They’re slim rather than slim and come up high enough to hide pot belly
They’re a nice shape around the bum
Loads on Vinted if you don’t want to commit to full price.
Brand alley often has them too

Diesel Skinzee! They’re skinny jeans and I don’t give a shit if they’re in fashion or not because I know what suits me, what looks best without being instructed otherwise by the Fashion Bobbies 👮‍♂️

I'm never going back to skinny again. The light blue is the material with the nicest stretch and belly hiding. The mid blue is little more stiff and the zip harder to pull up but I have both and look less dumpy than I did in skinnies.

Ive tried them all, and the skinny ones are the only style that look ok, baggy/boyfriend style make me feel short and dumpy

Skinny/slim jeans don't suit an overweight frame, but if that's the style you prefer, then Levis's 501 or Diesel Skinzee.

I am the same dress size and height as you and my weight is mostly round my middle. I swear by Next Power Stretch Denim Leggings. If you have a 30/31" inside leg the Regular fit are good with enough length to tuck in boots (I'm a 31" inside leg and Next states a 31" is a Long but I disagree!) These are the only jeans I've worn for the last 5 years, they was well and the black ones stay black, there's no bagging round the knee, I love them!

TK MAXX sometimes stock a US brand called Angels (Forever Young) - the most comfortable and flattering jeans I’ve ever owned. I also like skinnies and was 18 when I bought them last.

Spanx do jeans if you want something with a little bit of tummy control. I've had a few pairs off Vinted and been impressed (although I think I suits skirts better tbh)

Are the blue ones called something different? I can only find the black ones?

They are mid rise , I'm not keen on high waisted.

I used to love Sainsbury's Tu slim fit jeans but they stopped making them last year. The next best thing I've found for my shape is M&S lily jeans.

i am a 5ft 10 fat hourglass and skinny works loads better on me that wide leg or carrot which both looked awful

I hear you 100% at size 18 I tried a multitude of mom jeans but they looked awful. Hight waist skinny it is. Spent a long time this winter hunting the perfect pairs.

I get all my jeans from Vinted now it’s so affordable and like many other I buy jeans and hate them after one wear!
