Hi I’m hoping for some reassurance as I’m so anxious.

My partner and are I just decided to try for a baby after turning 40 at the beginning of the year.

Im currently coming up to 3 weeks late on my period. 3 tests all negative. Don’t feel pregnant and don’t have any symptoms for either that or a period.

My periods have been erratic. Last cycle was 42 days and was on period for approx 5 days but the one before was on period for 12 days.

Spoke GP and having blood tests on Monday.

im devasted as I’m panicking this is menopause and won’t be able to have a child.

Do you know what blood tests you are having done?

Could you get a private ultrasound? April last year I was heading for peri but come the October fertile and apparently there was still a window of opportunity at 43.

I’m sure nhs ivf help goes up to 43?

Wishing you all the best. Hoping for you it is meant to be.

As well as blood test you could book private fertility appt to check your AMH/internal scan etc., that would give you a good idea of your fertility and help make decisions depending on results. There's a range of options regardless so try not to panic, easier said than done, but sending positive vibes ✨️
