Question2022 · 09/05/2025 16:28

The dwp has given me a code to apply to nursery for 15 hours free childcare.
However, that was when they were 2.they are 3 now and I have gone to look around at a Nursery and they have told me that I need to provide that code. I can't find it is there anywhere I can contact to get the code?

All 3 and 4 year old receive 15 hours from the term after they turn three.

For an additional 15 hours for working parents (so 30 in total) go to www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

The 15 hours for 2 year olds in low income families will no longer be applicable to you.

Use the HMRC digital assistant x Childcare Service helpline - GOV.UK

Depends on when child was 3 and why you had the code.
Are you working? Did your child turn 3 before Easter?

I'm on universal credit and I received this code few months ago when my child was 2 years old.
Now my child is 3 this month can I still use the same code ?
