Gestational Sac No Yolk?

Hi
long story cut short, Oct 24 ectopic pregnancy tube removed, Dec early miscarriage. I’m 6 weeks today according to my last period, ovulation probs would have been day 18 so 3 weeks 2 days after ovulation. They did a scan today and found a gestational sac, but that’s it no yolk sac no feral pole. They said still a risk of ectopic? I’m so confused and naturally worried after what I’ve been through.
Any experiences or advice appreciated.
Thanks

I had a bleed early on, could see the sac and that was it. Went back in think a week later, sorry can't remember time frame, scanned again and baby is now 6 years old.
You've had a really tough time, and worrying is so completely normal. I had a miscarriage before my now 6 year old and the worry was unbearable. I have everything crossed for you, wishing you all the luck in the world!

I'd be surprised if they did see a yolk this early on.

@BookArt55 It’s so incredibly hard. I was hoping today would draw a line in the sand in respect of ectopic risk but still feel this could be a concern if it’s a pseudo sac! But sonographer said was a good shape and nice and bright, but who knows. Someone said if I ovulated on the 12th April I would be 5 wks 4 days post ovulation & I’ve read on threads etc that even a few days can make a huge difference. I just want the risk of ectopic out of the equation as as much as I pray it’s viable a MC seems the lesser of two evils. Due to fly end of month to take my little girl on her first holiday. But they may no rescan for another 2 weeks, I could go private if it gave me some reassurance. Now my brain is imagining all sorts and feel I have some twinges etc it’s jst so rubbish isn’t it. Thanks so much xx

@Bestfadeplans well NHS EPU will scan at 6 weeks if had previous ectopic and they would hope to see a sac and yolk, given not a heartbeat. But 6 weeks is based on LMP and a typical 28 day cycle, mines been well over the place since miscarriage (38,39,28) but I ovulated day 17/18 so expected a 32/33 day cycle?

From your ovulation dates it sounds like your only 5 weeks which means it’s a bit early for a scan that is conclusive. Better to wait a couple of weeks and get rescanned when you’re 7 weeks.

@Overthebow I really hope that’s the case. The thought of another ectopic makes me head wobble 😞 a MC still awful ofc. The NHS base scan bookings by LMP and not ovulation. I’m dreading the next HCG draw, 18000 is highest I’ve had so for it to go to 36000 seems a lot and now my brain is thinking well you don’t feel pregnant and I’m getting random twinges etc. I was so pleased when she said she saw a sac and now this- all pants! X

So HCG went from 17600 to 26400 I was told need to to double but doctor who called said they aren’t concerned with it not doubling and to scan in a week. I’m just confused with some mixed messages I’m getting!
