I have never played the national lottery but
last month entered a draw to win a house. Does anyone know anyone who has actually won one?

No but apparently a consultant at my hospital sold his house to one of the raffle companies. We all entered it but secretly hoped we didn't win as would be awkward af. 😂

I don't enter any competitions in which I would have to go public on the win.
The Omaze house reveal videos are mortifyingly cringe 😳

I won a smaller prize from Omaze once but sadly not the house or anything life changing!!
Wasn't even listed as a winner onsite just got an email with details of how to claim.
I suppose it would have been a bit embarrassing to have a recorded phone call or then turning up at your house.. but for a 5mil home or 500k even, I think I'd grin and bear it!!

Yeah I went to uni with a lad whose mum won a house (through a brand competition).

Family members know the couple that won one of the houses. Life changing, They are by their account a nice family of modest means their children are set for life now.

You can opt out of publicity for the Omaze house and their other prizes, just like you can with the lottery. For example, the person who won the Scotland golf house was only identified as 'Jon from Berkshire' and didn't appear in a video.

I watched the latest draw and it was Nat from Wales, definitely wouldn't want the publicity but so want the house...

I don't do the Omaze thing, I think the house values are a bit 'unusual' ..

BUT

I did win in the National Lottey last week! And, fingers crossed, I'm hoping that the Lucky Dip ticket I won will pay out BIG this weekend.

(I've put a bottle of that fizzy Lambrusco in the fridge for a celebration if I win, or else it will go back in the cupboard under the stairs for next NewYear.
