To want milk

Aibu to think that supermarkets should offer cartons of milk? The lunchbox sized ones.

You can buy lunchbox sized cartons of chocolate milk, strawberry milk, chocolate oat milk, soya formula "growing up" milk, etc etc etc, but none of the supermarkets offer just normal milk as an option.

UHT milk that people can pack for picnics/lunchboxes, have for the meal deals etc. The government is looking at bringing in the milkshake tax, but they should be focusing more on making other options more readily available.

Could you not just pour milk from the big carton into a small bottle?

Sunnyglowdays · 03/05/2025 10:17

I’ve just checked and you can buy them from Amazon

Sahara123 · 03/05/2025 10:20

Uht milk is horrible!

ToKittyornottoKitty · 03/05/2025 10:21

Just buy a small bottle of milk or take some from home. It’s not as unhealthy as milkshake so you can drink more of it.

GroovyChick87 · 03/05/2025 10:22

Do you mean small milk cartons with a straw for kids? If that's what you mean, I agree but I've never really thought about it till now.

mumda · 03/05/2025 10:52

Can you buy 1 pint containers of it still, or is that too much milk for you?

BangersAndGnash · 03/05/2025 12:01

UHT is an acquired taste so may not be a popular option.

Can fresh milk be put in a small carton with a long enough shelf life?

Lots of the sweetened and fake milks are inherently longer life.

We need to create less waste. Lunchbox milk would need to be kept cold: just decant it into a small sized Chilly bottle.
