Hi mums

has anyone tried the stoke bedbox? We have a 9 hour flight coming up and are considering it for our middle dc who is 4. I know there isn’t a huge amount of storage space but is it worth the investment? I have linked for anyone who wants to check it out

thanks all!

Seems expensive for what it is!

It is expensive but I would pay anything to make a 9 hour flight with three kids as stressless as possible 😂

I was going to get one for a longhaul flight, then checked the list of airlines that allowed them to be used. Most major airlines won’t including Tui who we are flying with.

So I've flown to NZ (26 hour flight) twice with my DC (aged 3 and 5 the first time and 5 and 7 the second). The first time we did not have a bedbox, the second time I borrowed my friend's for the 5 year old. It was okay... Mainly great for her to ride around in the airport. I liked being able to put my feet up on it, and she could lie down, and this meant she didn't lie on me. The first time we went she slept fine though on her seat (but she was younger then than your DC) and my older child also slept fine without one although there was some leaning on us. On the final leg on the way home my DC refused to have the bedbox set up. My friend had one for each child and her 4 year old threw a tantrum and refused to use it. A child in front of us on the plane also threw a tantrum and refused to lie on hers.

I think my verdict is no, it was nice to borrow one but I wouldn't pay for it as it's risky as to whether they'll like it and debatable how helpful they are.
