My little boy doesn’t wave, point, or say words yet.

hes 13 months, but was prem so should only be 11.5months, the health visitor is not being helpful and has left me concerned after his review.

he makes great eye contact, social smiles and giggles, approaches you, gets upset when you leave the room, responds to his name.. the list goes on.

he just doesn’t wave, point, say words or imitate yet and the HV is acting like something is wrong!

naturally im worrying.

Does the HV actually understand prematurity and corrected age? So many of them don't and it's incredibly frustrating. I had one talking about how he should be walking as he was 1 year, he was only 10 months corrected. I'm sure your baby will do all of them soon!

My eldest DD was the same and she's now nearly 3 and very chatty and has caught up on all the things she was a bit slower to do. Honestly I felt a lot of pressure for her to meet her milestones but she got there in the end and she's a very normal happy girl!
