Neighbours humming hot tub

We moved into our new build a few weeks ago and our new neighbours have an inflatable hot tub in their garden. The stupid thing HUMS all day and night, like buzzes 24/7. It's like tinnitus and I cannot stand it!!!! I don't want to say anything as they're new neighbours & I don't want to fall out or have any awkwardness, but at the same time I can't even sit in our new garden because it drives me so insane. I thought maybe I'd just get used to it but it winds me up even more as the weeks go on lol, especially now it's warm & I want the windows open at night, but all I hear is mmmmmmmmmmm.

Would you say something?!

There have been quite a few threads on here on this topic, so you are not alone!!
Next doors have one (although not inflatable it also makes a humming noise) and I can hear it even though we are detached and their tub isn't even close to our fence (and we have big gardens). Luckily for me, it's tolerable, but I can imagine how it would drive you crackers.
It's a difficult one. There is acoustic panel stuff you can put underneath the pump to deaden the sound a bit apparently. I can't imagine they will just agree to not use it anymore, but hopefully they might be open to trying to make it quieter. In the meantime, ear plugs/headphones/radio on to muffle the sound/fan in your room.

I would presume there is council laws on this so contact them

Yes 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

😂😂😂

I know what you mean, it's a noise that irritates me too. I didn't say anything to my neighbour but as others have said, it seems to be a common issue and i'd imagine many people have!

Maybe it wants you to sing along

Not sure what you can do at night time, we play nonstop music on a garden speaker during the day to try and distract us from the monotonous low level drone.

I often wonder if all hot tub owners have the complimentary qualities of being unaware and selfish and utter cunts
