To not see my boyfriend because he has a cold?

We see each other 2-3 times per week. We had arranged for him to come over tonight, but he has a cold.

I’m already severely vitamin D and iron deficient so feel like shit at the moment, and every time I get a cold it goes straight to my chest and I end up miserable with it.

I only just got over a chest infection that started as a cold about three weeks ago.

He is pissed off with me.

AIBU?

He’s not arsed about your health so why care about his opinion? I’m guessing you didn’t inflict your last cold on him? (Without telling him first at least)

Seems fair enough to me. I'd be annoyed at him being annoyed if I'm honest!

I don't know. I'm feeling rubbish atm and my BF came over and stayed the night just to look after me/make me feel better.

He would have been perfectly justified not to, but it was lovely that he wanted to.

I do this all the time. I don't want to hang about someone snivelling with a cold even if I am in perfect health. No need to try to justify it with all the vitamin deficiency stuff. "I don't want to catch it" is fine.

Unless your BF has the same health issues the OP has then it's not remotely comparable

Of course YANBU.

My BF had a nasty chest infection that lasted for weeks last summer. He suggested I not visit as I had TB eight years ago and still have problems occasionally.
It was fine and hopefully your BF will eventually be understanding.
