Vinted Buyer

Anyone else had this problem on Vinted??
I sold a brand new men’s coat for £8 knocked me down from £10, was more than happy to accept. Anyway posted the parcel, they had it delivered, and a day later I get a Vinted notification to say it’s damaged, I have photos of the coat before sending and it’s brand new nothing wrong with it, but when they’ve received it, apparently it’s all scagged and got rips on, they want a refund, should I just get the coat back and then refund them?

I would contact vinted for advice as to how best to proceed. I was scammed where the buyer said the box was empty and they wouldn’t help. I’m still annoyed that they got my lovely products… for free!

I’ve sold loads on Vinted and someone has just done similar to me but I’ve not got the item back yet

Could be a swap scam. They bought your new coat to replace their ruined old one, and now they want to send the old one back for a refund.

I had this with an item I sold - claimed it was damaged but it was obvious they’d opened and used the item (it was brand new and factory sealed when sent).
I requested that they return it to me for a refund. Unsurprisingly, they didn’t bother and Vinted paid out after the 5 day return period expired.
That site is scam central and more hassle than it’s worth.
