I'm allergic to so many things

I've got an epipen for my nut allergy, and I'm on fexofenedine so I can leave the house without sneezing

I've also got asthma and eczema.

I've just had some salami on a pizza - it was a replacement for pepperoni

And I'm having an allergic reaction- its not a severe one, I've just got a wheezy chest, sneezing loads and an itchy throat

How am I allergic to salami? 😄 I can eat a ham sandwich just fine

I know i need to see a doctor but my GP is sick of me and my various minor health problems

Has anyone else got lots of allergies? Has anyone had a random allergy to salami? Are there Italians who breeze past the salami man for fear of contamination?

It will be an additive or cross contamination with perhaps nut.

Have you eaten salami before?

Could it be the pizza and not the salami bit?

HugelyExpensiveCrystalDuck · 26/04/2025 21:18

Is it the sulphur? Or a cross contamination. A man in Newcastle died when he was eating a pizza which contained peanuts. I hope you are OK.

Thank you, I'm fine 😄, been through this a few times. A bit of ice cream for my throat, and time, I'll be fine

I made the pizza from scratch, using ingredients I'd used before - it can only be the salami 😔

I have Salicylate intolerance, allergic to Aspirin. The strangest foods make me react, alongside build up from foods generally that produce symptoms.

Could it be the mould on the Salami skin from the curing process? You wouldn’t necessarily see it if it’s sliced.

Allergies do go in sets. I have asthma, eczema, hay-fever. I react to many creams, cosmetics and most sunscreens.

They are all linked to how reactive your immune system is to perceived threats I think. Super annoying
