Chris Eubank Jr is 0.05 lb overweight

"The 35-year-old weighed just 0.05lb over the 11st 6lb middleweight limit for the grudge bout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium."

How much is that?

I know that a pound is made up of ounces. I know a pound is 16 ounces.

But how much is 0.05 lb?

It's using decimals and ounces. Is it 1/20 th of a pound?

Apparently it was just under an ounce. So why not say so?

It's 16 x .05

Maybe they did it for a dramatic effect; .05 lb sounds like less than .8 oz?

Much easier to have used ounces.

I can do grams and kilograms. And ounces. But using decimals in this context makes it harder to understand
