Anyone have recommendations for Turkey dentist?

Klaudea · 25/04/2025 16:19

My mum is wanting to get full mouth restorative implants. Does anyone have any recommendations for dental practices that they have used. She has found one it looks legit but is significantly cheaper. Good reviews and the brand they are using is decent quality.

Just don’t want my mum to chuck £9k away. Her mouth is terrible and she is very limited in what she can do. Dentures aren’t even really an option.

Any help would be amazing. Thanks

Shes in a lot of pain and very embarrassed

I went to Dental Centre Turkey in Antalya and had a good experience and the results have lasted 6 years so far without any issues.

Perhapsanothertime · 25/04/2025 16:24

£9k sounds a lot even for Turkey tbh. A friend of mine has been over recently for full implants and I don’t believe it was as much as that.

No reason why there would be an issue with having work out there as long as you research it well. Turkish government provide subsidies to dentists because of the tourism it draws. They’re not cheap because they’re all shit, it’s done intentionally because of the benefits it brings them as a country.

Your Mum needs to think long and hard about having implants done abroad. I had implants in the last 18 months and the whole process took just under 10 months. They can't be done in one session. Also if anything goes wrong no UK dentist would touch them so she would have to go back to Turkey. If I was going to have dental treatment abroad I would go to Hungary as they have world class dentists there

If you are on the Turquoise Coast rather than around Antalya I can highly recommend Catagay Aras at Holident in Fethiye.

I didn't have implants but needed a very urgent impacted Wisdom Tooth removing and he was sensational and I was a VERY nervous patient.

His speciality is cosmetic dentistry.

Ideally she would get it here but she just can’t afford £30k. Literally not possible. I’m helping her out as it is.

Shes in agony and needs something doing. Will look into Hungary. Thanks a lot

Yes mine took 9 months. I presume the places in Turkey and do the same day/next day implants. I think the failure rate is higher, and what happens if you get there and some bone loss is discovered?

We have had an appointment in the UK with a dentist from the practice so they are aware of my mum’s dental situation. She is getting substantial bone grafts

I had to visit a dentist in Greece a couple of years ago. I had to have a tooth out, I got an appointment instantly. The dentist said that he has quite a few British patients on his books who often combine dental treatment with a holiday. He sympathised with us Brits and said our dental services are in a complete shambles.

My dh had his done. He is turkish though so had an advantage that he wasn't given the run around. He went to esnan dental in Istanbul. They where ok, However one of the implants crowns snapped off so he is going back to get it fixed in a few weeks time.

Be careful and check thoroughly before going and check reviews. Can you go with her so she doesn't agree to something without checking first, when in pain it's easy to just accept anything without thinking it through.

Dhs took 6 months, start to finish.

Reallyyyyyy · 25/04/2025 16:44

Where in the UK are you?

I went to the Brighton implant centre. They where quite good and cheaper than most

Soozikinzii · 25/04/2025 16:53

Dont

waitingforthehallmarkedman · 25/04/2025 18:07

I've had one and it took a few months. I really don't understand how they do it in one or two visits? You need the bone to grow round the screw before they attach the tooth and that's not a quick process.
I've seen some turkey teeth on tiktok and they look awful.

They are excellent. I had all mine done there. Even though I moved to Somerset I still go there.

You go back. I know two people who have had/are having implants. You go over for several days for the tooth removal and pegs putting in, then go home to heal for several months, then back over for the teeth to be fitted.

Apols if someone already confirmed this, not reading several pages just to find out 🤣

Tooty78 · 26/04/2025 19:28

Liz Jones has written an article about her experience with this very thing today in the Daily Mail. Seems very happy with the outcome, and she gives the name of the clinic and the dentist in the article.

Nobody's biting. Give it up.

magiciansgirlonce · 26/09/2025 01:16

Don't go near! I've had a lot of cosmetic dental work done here. Lucky Retired finally had money. There are so many complications I don't see how this can be done abroad. Get what you can afford her
