Scales not moving but changed shape and gone down a size

Basically as the title says.
I’ve been calorie counting for almost two months. I’ve lost 8lbs altogether.
However the scales aren’t moving much now (past two weeks), but I’ve dropped a dress size and my body shape has changed, my previously tighter jeans are much looser on me and my face is slimmer (people have commented).
Is this normal?

Following as I’m experiencing this too. I’ve decided to focus on how I look and how my clothes feel more than how much I weigh.

Totally normal! Your weight on the scales can fluctuate day to day depending on your monthly cycle, water intake, salt intake etc. Plus if you're calorie counting you will be losing water weight, and then burning most of those, especially if you're doing light exercise? Muscle weighs more than fat so if you're burning fat and building a little muscle the scales will probably stay the same but your body will slim down. My sister went down 3 dress sizes but actually gained on the scales, she was a gym girl! I stopped weighing and started taking weekly/fortnightly pictures standing in the same spot wearing the same/similar underwear. You will VERY quickly see a difference.

Muscle does not weigh more than fat, it has a different density.
A pound of fat and a pound of muscle still both weigh a pound!

But like you said they have different density so a cubed inch of muscle will weigh more than a cubed inch of fat. When people say they want to lose weight what they really mean is they want to lose inches, so that’s why the weight of muscle matters.

The scales can fluctuate wildly for any reason. Poop mass, water, gas and air. Hormones can influence the number of the scale too, and not even just in a monthly cycle. The 8lbs you apparently lost may not even be accurate.

Weigh yourself no more than once a month - or even less - for your own sanity. I don't weigh myself at all when losing weight. I know I'm eating under what I need to lose weight and trust the process.

Yes but that density makes a difference? That's what people mean when they say "muclse weighs more than fat". I know a body builder with zero fat on his body but by the scales and BMI he is severely obese 🤷🏻‍♀️ density matters
