Went to a National Trust type property today. Gardens, museum type buildings - lots of Easter activities etc. My DD and I had a good time but I came away horrified by the lack of any social skills from some of those around us. Dogs were allowed, fine, I like dogs. We went egg rolling on a lovely hill to be met with a large pile of dog poo! Bins overflowing - we had a picnic and I just put everything back in our bag at the end. Why do people just throw litter by and around the bins? Litter in the NT property just thrown down! My DD and I went into the cafe and she sat down looking at the map whilst I ordered. She’s 7 and I could see her from the counter. I was making my way back to our table when I happened upon a younger boy say 4 years old hitting my daughter as he wanted her bunny ears and my daughter had said no. The boy slapped my daughter in the face and the parents were nowhere to be seen.
We then got the train home and there were children on the train swearing and drinking energy cans (none of these children were over the age of 7!)
What is going on?!
