Could be a delayed reaction.

we had a pipe burst and upend our lives for just a month. It was constant adrenaline. It may just be that with the impending return to normalcy, your body is starting to stop being in panic mode and is crashing.

A lot of people just keep going while they have to in order to deal with a difficult situation.

It's a coping mechanism. They can only truely process the impact when the worst is over. Maybe it applies to you?

Wow, yours got sorted really quickly.
I had a burst pipe upstairs in January 2024. I wasn't at home at the time. Neighbour noticed water pouring out from underneath the front door.
Water supplier came and turned off the mains (cost me €198)
Reported to insurers as soon as I knew. Just got a case number, but no instruction or process to resolve.
Took me 3 or 4 attempts to find someone to fix it.
Estimates submitted in July 2024 (unfortunately not copied to me, so I could not chase). No reaction from insurers. If you try to ring them you get the telephone decision tree of doom and, when you finally get a real person, they say they cannot help.
Uploaded some documents to their website in November 2024, got an instant message saying it would take 6 to 7 weeks to process!!!
Phone call out of the blue a few days later from an appointed assessor. Made date for him to look at the damage.
He missed first date as had the time wrong.
Made second date, looked at stuff for 10 minutes then spent about 40 minutes telling me what my options were (and that the cause of damage was not clear, despite me showing him the hole in the pipe). Said he would write a report to the insurance company - assumed I would get a copy (but no, I am not entitled to this, it turns out).
Chased this up about 1 month ago and had further phone call with assessor. He had agreed that the estimates were ok.
Still nothing from the insurer.
All this time I have been staying in hotels about 1 hour from my house as I was working, last year, locally - irony I could have worked from home and saved €€€€€s.
Need to chase again this week.
Have every sympathy.
