To be annoyed

I am so sick of ex being late picking the kids up. This weekend I changed days with him as he had plans and he agreed to pick them up at 12 (I starting work at 1) he turns up at almost 3pm and then because I rang him he called me a C* and that he is so glad he doesn’t have to deal with me anymore!

What’s your question? Yes, he’s a cunt.

Is this normal behaviour from exes? I can’t believe he said he doesn’t miss the way I was! Even when we were together he could never be anywhere on time, always late home from work etc it was soul destroying

The kids were just sat waiting for him. The same thing happens every week. He has never ever been on time or even close.

DD (8) actually made me laugh as she said the only thing he isnt late for is (his new girlfriend who he met 2 weeks after we split)

OP he's reminding you constantly of why your life is now so much better without him on a permanent basis (silver linings and all).

Yes, at least I only have to deal with it once a week now instead of daily

Could you change pick up time so it wouldn't make you late for work? "The current time clearly doesn't work for him so you'd be doing him a favour" could sell it.

BobbyBiscuits · 22/04/2025 10:41

He's an arsehole yeah. Depending on the kids age, could you send them to his house in a taxi? That he pays for.
I hope things improve. X

They are 4 and 7. He already changed the time to an hour later which he has now become an hour late for! It’s so annoying that he thinks I am the problem but I suppose that is why we split. Honestly could not rely on him to be on time for anything!

He is even late sending the cms payments, and if I call him to question it apparently I can’t stop thinking about him 🙄
