DLA marked as urgent, How long should it take?

My LO claim was marked as URGENT on Wednesday - the office has been closed since Friday due to the Easter bank holiday So I wasn’t expecting to hear anything the past few days.

i was wondering if any one has had a claim marked as urgent and how long it took for a decision ect?

No direct experience but if your child meets the exceptional circumstances (grim) criteria they will fast track it. No idea what that actually means since a standard claim is at least 20 weeks but maybe a week or two in working days?. Keep an eye on your bank account as sometimes payment comes before the letter.

our claim was fast tracked due to reasons I cannot discuss on here, i was just wondering how long it could take roughly for a decision.
i know they reopen tomorrow but I am hesitant on calling up straight away in case they haven’t had enough time to look at our claim.

also I have noticed that from other posters too, that they have had the payment before a letter has arrived.
