Because the thread is entitled "must i apologise". It gives no clue that it's just another variation on the same theme that already has dozens of threads.

I think we need as many threads as we create. This is the case whenever there's an important current issue - lots of threads are the result of there being an important issue, nothing else. It's much more strange to post and complain about something you wish wasn't being posted about. I delete threads I'm not interested in. I suggest others do the same. My MN pages are now mostly about this as I've deleted all of the "am I too old for this, it's me or the dog, I read his texts, etc." I haven't posted on those threads trying to get them to stop posting about something that matters to them.

The only thing you shouod apologise for is starting another thread.

The more threads the merrier, as far as I’m concerned. Some get traction, some don’t.
I can only speak for myself, but I’m a bit late to the party at realising the implications of this issue (as it’s been drowned out everywhere else for years by the ‘be kind’ brigade and their overlords) and I can’t get enough of these threads.
So thank you @Supersimkin7 for starting another one and no, you must not apologise!
