The pair of boobs on the left is a nice touch!

Maddy70 · 20/04/2025 18:17

Yes I agree

Sirzy · 20/04/2025 18:20

Are they truly accessible to everyone with disabilities though? That’s my first thought

They are great! And yes @Sirzy there are many toilets for people with disabilities (I have taken a wheelchair user many times)

What are they actually providing?

Single unit Disability toilets?

Mixed sex communal toilets?

Single unit mixed sex toilets

Mixed sex extra large toilet to allow a baby stroller and/or an adult and child?

Mixed sex communal baby change area?

Mixed sex baby feeding area?

Floor to celling door are not safe for a number of reasons @Keeptoiletssafe has some great posts on why a gap at the bottom of a public toilet allows other users to spot someone who has become ill

Toilets - a chance to make them safer for everyone | Mumsnet

Toilets weren’t specifically mentioned in the Supreme Court judgement. But there may be some rejigging of work/leisure/shop toilet facilities after to...

I did say lighthearted but …

Single unit Disability toilets? YES
Mixed sex communal toilets? YES

Mixed sex extra large toilet to allow a baby stroller and/or an adult and child? YES

Mixed sex communal baby change area? YES
Mixed sex baby feeding area? NO SINGLE SEX

Also single sex toilets.

No floor to ceiling in single sex. I have only been in there and the disabled do couldn’t comment on the mixed sex/accessible ones.

Not a bad set up then.

Do they get brownie points for....
..... a design leaving room for the sanitary bin in the women or is it wedged in between the bowl and the wall.....

Pieceofpurplesky · 20/04/2025 21:36

@AnSolas they’re good but not that good! Probably designed by men!

Oh well!🤷‍♀️

ItsUpToYou · 20/04/2025 21:41

This design would confuse me. Which toilets are which? Can men change their babies’ nappies? Is one of the toilets Roman Soldiers Only? I just want to pee!

Toddlerteaplease · 20/04/2025 21:43

No changing places sign though.

The asymmetrical skirt and bigger (beer 👀 not post baby🫢) belly.... should be easy to tell you that men can change nappies.
And I dont know why I am seeing Scooby doo peeking out from under that hat 🤷‍♀️

Pieceofpurplesky · 20/04/2025 23:57

There are quite a few Roman’s wandering around Chester so maybe that’s where they go

Grammarnut · 20/04/2025 23:59

No, if they are not sex segregated which discriminates against women who may need/want not to have men where they are partially undressed and vulnerable. Sorry not to be light-hearted.

Pieceofpurplesky · 21/04/2025 01:09

They are sex segregated. In every way possible.

They look excellent but, to be honest, in a lot of towns (including mine), any toilets would be great.
