First holiday with friend!

If you were having a holiday with a friend for the first time ever. Long term friend.
Would you suggest going abroad for a week or say 4 or 5 days in the Uk?🕶

Wherever there’s more to do, so you’re not spending every waking minute together.

Well it depends what you want to do surely? Lounging around on the beach - abroad. Busier trips with fewer logistical issues - home.

The first holiday I did with a friend was 2 weeks in Florida. We had an absolute blast and i would do it again in a heartbeat

Beach/pool holiday. Walks, maybe a day out would be the abroad one.
Uk one would probably be a short break in a hotel with pool etc.

More important to set expectations eg being fine to do different things, not having to be joined at the hip.

Short break in case it turns out to be not for you, or indeed vice-versa. Better that than ruin a friendship which could be the case with a longer holiday.

Does anyone have any stories about holidaying with a friend?Good or bad?

Done it. No issues. Enjoy it. But I and they are laid back people.

Someone commented above about doing things separately once there, not the way we have done things, we agree the plan /itinerary before leaving and do everytihng together but I guess it depends what works for you.
