Tidy garden next door.

Council property next door is empty, has been since January.
The weeds are getting out of hand and the garden could do with a tidy up of litter and cutting back.
Am I being a busy body like my DP says I would be if I went to tidy the garden or is it okay that I go ahead and do a bit if gardening in my annual leave? 🤔

If it's a front garden which is open (as in no gates etc) I'd pick up litter and have a quick tidy. Back private garden, no.

Report it to the council and say you've seen rats. They'll come strim it down

if it’s open like shared front lawns or something then fine, if you’d be just entering their property to garden then no that’s not ok

Probably not ok to go onto the property to do the back garden, I think it's ok to tidy up the front though. Although realistically is anyone likely to know or complain if you did do the back?
