To think DH should have communicated this better?

DH and DS work together 80 miles from home.

DH and I are away for the Easter weekend for a short break and I'm liaising with them approx 20 miles from their work and then we're going onwards to our destination.

We said we'd meet at 4pm at a services.

I have a choice of 2 cars, I don't mind which I drive.

I went to car A this morning to grab something from the boot that the dog had left in there and saw his suitcase. NOTHING had been mentioned about suitcases.

It's bloody lucky that the dog needed this lead for the dogsitter this weekend because I wouldn't have known his case was in there and could have just gone in car B.

Yabu, him taking a 50/50 chance was fine.

Yanbu - DH should have mentioned he was popping his case in the boot of a car to ensure that I took it on holiday?

I'd be tempted to put them in the other car just to see his face when you pulled up in it

StrangerOnline · 18/04/2025 15:38

I hope you haven’t told him that you found it.
And that you plan to turn up in car B, after hiding the suitcase and be surprised when he asks where it is?

I would absolutely do this.

Iloveacurry · 18/04/2025 15:40

Yep he should have told you, or it might have been left at home!

Anywherebuthere · 18/04/2025 15:42

Yes he should have. Lucky you saw it.

ICanTellYouMissMe · 18/04/2025 15:55

Well yeah but in the grand scheme…so what? The responses above are petty nonsense.

Gustavo77 · 18/04/2025 16:18

Why is this even a thing? I wouldn't give it a second thought, some folk have way too much time on their hands.

Minglingpringle · 18/04/2025 18:42

Yes, silly of him to forget. Lucky you noticed.

FiveTreeHill · 18/04/2025 18:50

I mean yes he should have told you, but also its probably just an oversight and isn't something I could get worked up about
