I’ve been on the pill since I was a teenager except for during 2 pregnancies. Youngest is now 18m and I’ve been on it since about 6m post partum.
Everything was fine, no symptoms, all good. However this is now the second month I’ve come to the withdrawal 7 days off and I’ve not had a bleed! This has never happened to me in 15 years and now it’s 2 months back to back.
Last month I was paranoid I was pregnant and I was testing twice a day during that week, now that it’s happened again I’m stressing that there’s something underlying.
Would you speak to the GP about this? Will they just fob me off?
Would you be concerned about skipping two periods?

Whilst a lack of withdrawal bleeding is not a massive concern in itself, a change to your cycle like that is definitely worth a conversation.

Withdrawal bleeding is not a period. You don’t actually need to have a break between taking the pill at all, this is just a legacy ‘rule’ that is not medically necessary (some other forms of contraception don’t have any bleeding either). If you have concerns about your cycle you should come off the contraception and give a few months for your hormones to settle but not having withdrawal bleeding is not in itself a concern.
