To ask what is doing this to my sofa

The cushions have tiny little holes in them and the filling seems to be covered in little black bugs (dead) or bug poo.

Images under review. Forgot to say, it's a very old sofa (about 30 years) but still very comfortable.

No I have a dog but she has never had fleas (has regular preventative treatment).

Sorry, I think it's time for a new sofa, that's what I would be doing

Yes, I will definitely be getting rid now, which is a shame because the sofa has been with me through several house moves and two partners. I wondered about bed bugs, do they make little holes like that?
