To wonder if this is normal for a four year old

Let’s say my child’s name is Noah. (It isn’t.)

We’re playing outside and he goes out of sight. Think he’s gone inside. I call his name to ask if he’s OK.

’Noah?’
’Noah? Are you inside?’
’NOAH?’

Go to find him and he’s in the lounge, can hear me perfectly well (hearing been tested) just not responding at all.

It is normal here but is it normal generally?

Yep, I think it’s pretty normal. Wait, til he’s 12. It doesn’t get better.

Probably- keep an eye on things I would say

Seems typical to me, my 6 year old is only just learning about replying to people. He gets annoyed at being told to do things more than once, but also wasn't replying to say he was actioning the request
