Been over 6 weeks now…ankles and calf are still swollen and uncomfortable and now it’s starting to drive me crazy and worries me…gp gave me medicine to go toilet more often to flush the liquid out faster but don’t see any improvements yet…
how long have you been swollen? I am worried it’s going to stay like that forever 😭

I've had 2 sections and don't remember my legs being swollen at all. Not very helpful, sorry.

My legs were swollen towards the end of my pregnancies but went back to normal by the time I got home from hospital. I had 2 sections. I don't think swollen legs are anything to do with sections?

Mine were swollen for longer than the midwives thought was normal and it was 2-3 weeks I think.

speak to your midwife about it. It improves with walking about (which can be a bit hard if nap trapped!).

I elevated them whenever possible and wore compression tights to help.

My legs were swollen bad first time as well, and during the third trimester. I know its nothing unusual but it should go away after two weeks and its been six already. I spoke to gp as mentioned but its worrying so wanted to hear some comforting stories…
