I work in arts based job. Everything I read or see references liminal spaces . Why are liminal spaces the new thing?

It’s just an aesthetic that has gained popularity. It’s a space between what was and what’s next. A transition. It fits in with the dystopian forecast and evokes feelings of melancholy and discomfort. Similar to uncanny valley. It just fits with the zeitgeist
