Hair done on Saturday…

It cost me £130 and I usually pay £80 at the same hairdressers for block colour. This time I had highlights and then she applied like a peach dye over the top when the hair was wet (I’m guessing like a toner?). Anyway, this is the roots and my question is, is this acceptable? When I look in the mirror, all I can see is my roots! Never had this problem when having block colour. Am I being unreasonable complaining and asking for it to be re done?

I wouldn't expect to see roots like that after 5 days. I'd go back and show them.

You have lovely hair, BTW.

Lostsadandconfused · 10/04/2025 12:11

The colour is really very uneven.

Whatevershallidowithmylife · 10/04/2025 12:15

I would go back, otherwise its lovely!

On a side note if you haven't NC for this post and you don't want identified by your family or friends you maybecwantvto take the front view pic down.

It’s not great
I wouldn’t expect to have roots showing like that so soon but you probably would within 3 weeks or so

Changingnames2002 · 10/04/2025 12:36

This would be seen as a colour correction if you came back into my salon. It appears the ‘toner’ has affected the highlights all over and lifted hair that shouldn’t have been. The cost is a lot - but irrelevant, it’s a poor job and should be corrected if it cost you £50 or £500.

id go back into the salon and ask someone to fix it.
ps you have lovely hair and this is easily fixed

Thanks all for your comments! I just wanted to check it wasn’t me being picky. I have contacted the hairdresser and she’s booked me in for next week to correct it. Been going to her for years so hoping it won’t make things awkward! Xx
