CMS and court order

CMS have told DSis that ex has taken her child maintenence payments to them, and that her court order payments aren’t good any more. The court order payments were for more, and went on for longer than the CMS will.

Is there really nothing she can do?

Nope. These are reviewable by any party, at any time.

I was told when I my divorce went through that the court order for child maintenance was only valid for a year - after which time they could revert to the cms payments.

Thank you both. And even if the court order was supposed to cover university, is that no good any more either?

Seems crazy to me :(

No, sorry. My solicitor told me not to bother because it wouldn’t have seen us through that far.
