since Starting nursery a month ago my 11 month old is getting virus after virus so has never been able to do a full week in the last 6 weeks, only manages two days. Since last Thursday he’s been “teething” really bad but nothing seems to be working, I’ve literally tried everything and all he’s doing is crying. I’ve been to the doctors he’s been checked over, today I went to the pharmacy (who said they don’t do anything for under 1s). I’ve bought all the teething stuff, calpol, ibuprofen. Is this normal? I’m worried it might be something more serious but the pain definitely seems to be coming from the mouth/gums

You.sound like a ln amazing mum trying all the right things to help your boy. Only things that were suggesting to me were a muslin soaked and put in the freezer to chew on. It didn't work for mine but SIL swore by it. Teething gel did help even though it's homeopathic, the one from boots in a white and blue writing box, looks really traditional. And there's one that's a lidocaine gel. Hopefully some teeth will pop through soon and help your boy feel better.

@PennyPolo thankyou so much I never knew teething could be so hard! Giving him lots of cuddles (when he accepts them) I’m just worried about how he’s going to be at nursery tomorrow! Will try the muslin cloth. Thank you again

Anbesol liquid is excellent much easier to get on the gums than the gels.
Homemade ice lollies are great too. My first got homemade. Second got whatever was on offer in the local coop.

Anbesol is your friend. Along with anything frozen. Good luck
