To not let roofers use our socket?

Flat in a leasehold building, roof is being done and costs shared among leasees.
Roofers are using one of our sockets indoors. This also means that our balcony door has to be ajar all day every day. I have a baby so need to keep the room temperature reasonable, meaning our heating is on much higher all day than it would be otherwise. Looking at my last bill this seemed to amount to approx £250/month. DH says we just have to suck it up. AIBU to tell them they can’t use our socket anymore?

Can't they now switch to using someone else's socket? That would seem fair if all leasers benefit.

Agree. I think I’ll suggest this.

Isn’t there a landlord socket somewhere there’s normally one they use for communal areas

Has it been a case of 'she'll be in all day with the baby so they won't mind'? Maybe lead with 'we'll be out and about a lot these next few weeks so probably a good time to shift to someone else's power'. And talk about it as 'taking turns' to the other residents
