To think two step verification is a pain!!!

This is light hearted, I know the reasons behind it.

I'm here on Monday morning trying the last 30 mins to get the new 2 step sign in thing up and running for one of my systems.

I get why they do they but they are an absolute PAIN. I lost my phone a few weeks ago for a few days, I couldn't get into anything really (bank, nursery, Sage, etc)

AIBU to dislike them?

I got locked out of my Facebook account and have been unable to get back in. I wouldn’t give a toss but I had pictures there I had nowhere else.

Apparently no humans work at Facebook because no one had replied to my messages. It’s been 18 months.

Yes, verify on the app is rubbish as well if you haven't got a phone signal. I was trying to buy wifi on a caravan site with hardly any phone signal, this was why I needed wifi, had difficulty as no signal to open bank app to verify, in the end I used a rarely used credit card, one I had got for holidays abroad, with no app and that went through with no verification.

I’m fine with it for things like banking, emails etc. when it’s for my local library or similar I find it excessive.
