Short breaks prepaid card

Hey, my daughter was awarded a short breaks prepaid card, I activated it early march but no funds are available still, does anyone know when I can expect that to happen? It's been 4 weeks since I activated it and was hoping to use it for the Easter break. Thanks

It will depend on when your plan start date is. Check that and if it has already passed then give them a call to check. I have found that funds are usually added the day before the plan start date.

How do I find that out? All I've had is a letter with the card to say from April 1st

You should have had to read and sign a plan that outlines how much funding you receive and what it can be spent on by the local authority. This will have the start and end date that the funds must be spent between. Did you apply online or by post? In my county this is all done online now and so the draft plan is emailed and I then check it and sign.

Yes I signed that it said from 1st April to 31st march the following yr

Then I would give the short breaks team a call and ask them when the funds will be loaded as they should have been available from the 1st of April. If you call them now, they should be able to add the funds to your card today.

I tried calling all day it kept hanging up on me after being on the phone waiting for half an hour
