Brown discharge two days after period

I got my period a day late last month and was bleeding for 5 days which is normal for me, 1st day light bleeding, 2nd day really heavy. My period ended 2 days ago but I’m getting a lot of brown discharge which is unusual sometimes il get a little bit here and there before or after my period but never 2 days after! It’s like brown slime looking!! Has anyone had anything similar? I did a pregnancy test when I was a day late but it came back instant negative and my period came that day.

Do you think you could have an infection? Even thrush has caused me to bleed a bit. Although sometimes I get brown discharge for days after my period ends.

I get this most months, it’s just old blood mixed with discharge

if it smells it could be an infection but otherwise I wouldn’t worry

I have no other symptoms apart from the brown stringy looking discharge and mild cramping

Did it just go away? I’m worried I might be pregnant now but my pregnancy test when I was a day late was negative almost instantly but I’ve never had this before and also my period was normal apart from being a day late

This sounds pretty normal to me - it's usually just old blood making its way out. Some women get this at the end of every period, or in between periods.

Obviously if you're feeling unwell, feverish, in pain etc then it would be worth getting it checked out, but a bit of brown discharge at the end of a period wouldn't typically be anything sinister.

Is it ovulation mixed with the remnants of your period? It's usually hormone related, but recommend a gp appointment if it happens for the next few cycles too.

On my Flo app I’m due to ovulate in 4 days so it could well be!

I have this I sometimes get it before my period aswel a few days before it's like a reminder for me
