I know different things suit different parents and babies but I used one today for the first and I feel like I’m missing something??

I found it more awkward than just clipping a normal infant car seat onto my travel system frame due to the weight of it, it was horrible to push about out doors and it just doesn’t seem quite as comfy for the wee one as a traditional pram.

Yet everyone I know raves about them. What do people like about them?

I’ve always thought they look weird - the baby seems very low down, like it’s a kids toy pram. Just something about them whenever I see one it’s just not something I’d personally use. Also in terms of being in the car as a car seat I’m sure I read that it’s safer to have an actual car seat. So that also put me off. But I see lots of them around so they obviously work for alot of parents!

Amazingly convenient on the school run and worth it just to take the stress out of that. If it was my first kid it'd have been useless though.

Babies shouldn’t be in car seats for long periods, so I don’t like them for that reason.

You can get lie flat doonas now which helps with the time baby can be in them. I thought they were great with my first. It's never meant to be a pram though and a lot of people use it like that. Super handy for nipping in to the shop on the way home and made getting in and out of the house to the car easier but it's not made for pavements or anything like that (awful to use on bumpy surfaces) so would never use it as a substitute pram.

I had the lie flat and never again. Convenient yes but very heavy to lift especially if you have had a c section like me it's very hard. The wheels get twisted and stuck and once it converts in a car seat position in the car, my baby screamed blue murder as it was very uncomfortable and suffocating. I got a normal car seat and my journeys became less stressful.

good at her job, so no issues in terms of work performance and results.

this is in the second sentence of your OP and people are replying telling you to put her on a pip and give her targets to improve her performance? What the hell?

OP you sound needy towards your team member wanting her to ask about your weekend and thank you etc it sounds like you have different styles of communication and as the manager you should try to get the best out of your team by adapting your style of managing them.
