Toddler open end end questions

Hi xx really quick one
am I correct into thinking that answering questions like “ what’s your favourite color /toy ? What do you want ? What did you today ? What are you doing ? “ develops between the age of 2 and 3 ? I know it varies x

I'd say older than that.
Ask a 6 year old what they did at school and they still just shrug and say "dunno" or "nothing".
