Hi, I’ve had a look and can’t see another thread so thought I’d add one. It’s my first time trying for tickets. London is too far for us, but they’ve opened one in Manchester so trying to get tickets this year. Anyone else trying to get tickets today? Any words of advice for tickets or the event itself?

Its my first time trying to get them too today. I'm going for Manchester too.

SantasLeftSock · 31/03/2025 10:24

First time for me today too! But for Ascot. Daughter is 4 in July so I’m really hoping we are lucky today. I’m not fussed about going to an earlier date if it works out cheaper too.

We went last year, it was lovely. Eye wateringly expensive but when you get there you can see why, the production of it, the sets etc is like nothing else. My only niggle is the last section with reindeer on the way to Santa was a bit lacklustre and could have done with some characters there, or something to entertain as there was a long queue. But that was Ascot.

You think 90mins in the elf village is loads of time but it will fly by, so pick the main thing you want to do there and get it done first.

People do go year after year, but I don't think we will, mainly because you can't recreate that wonder of seeing everything for the first time, and that's what made it special for us.

The Facebook group LaplandUK fan chat is very good to join. Every question you can think of has probably been asked and answered on there!

I'll be in the queue for ascot. My LO will be almost 4 so hoping it's a good age.

SantasLeftSock · 31/03/2025 11:47

I’ve just gone on the website and it’s let me join a queue. But it said on the email that they’ll email a place so I’m not sure what I’m doing. I don’t have to keep the website open on my phone so I’m just sorting out the house and checking randomly

Are you in a queue already? It just says I'll be given a place in the queue at 12 on the website.

How come? It doesn’t open until 12?

Blixem · 31/03/2025 12:01

I'm 19019 in the queue for Manchester

SantasLeftSock · 31/03/2025 12:02

I had a look and it was available so I just stayed on the page? It’s just opened now and I’m in place 5,000 so don’t think it worked!

hohoho24 · 31/03/2025 12:03

39000 for ascot. Fml.

leojeojao · 31/03/2025 12:03

I am on the queue too, and wow, number 37501 Best of luck everyone

Whichhousetochoose · 31/03/2025 12:06

Im at 82,789 despite having the screen open about 50 minutes before. Although i think you are randomly assigned a place. Definitely not holding my breath 😅

Bearhunt468 · 31/03/2025 12:20

Stay in the queues. Last year we were 80000something but got tickets. Lots of people I think register multiple accounts and so once gets tickets then log out the queue. There was plenty of choice of dates even 5 hours later we got them.

5000 is actually very good, so stay on that page!

Bodonka · 31/03/2025 12:29

I forgot to get in the queue at 12. Currently 148,000 ahead of me for Ascot 🫠

SantasLeftSock · 31/03/2025 12:39

I got tickets! They’ve cost a bloody fortune, I thought the £80 starting price was a realistic price but it’s no where near! But nothing was sold out or unavailable. Just bloody expensive! Good luck everyone

Cheapest is £80 for superstar day (for entrants with additional needs) but they always sell out fastest. Generally around £100-£150 per person plus £4.95 each for booking fees.

So good for you! Do you mind sharing how much was the total for how many of you? I will be booking for family of 4? Thank you

SantasLeftSock · 31/03/2025 12:56

It cost me £175 a ticket for a 9.30 arrival (any later was over £200 and 8am was £155) on a Saturday in December. All the Saturday tickets cost a similar amount. Sundays were the same. Fridays were slightly cheaper but still over £150 unless you arrived at 8am. The week day prices were cheaper to start, but I can’t do weekday so didn’t click to check the breakdown of cost

OP posts:
Blixem · 31/03/2025 13:03

I got tickets. There were tickets under £100 available but the slots were 8am starts.

FilthyforFirth · 31/03/2025 13:08

When do the London ones go on sale or have they already?

TeapotCollection · 31/03/2025 13:09

I wanted to go but I’m not allowed because I haven’t got kids 😡

Every booking has to include a child
