Help me with ?acid reflux?

I’ve had on and off chest pain since Wednesday. It’s been just under where the heart is, so upper ribs. It’s been an ongoing dull pain, with every few minutes a tightening so sharp it really hurts, and I also get a sicky feeling as well.

Assumed it was indigestion/acid reflux and bought some gastro-resistant tablets. I’ve also been taking painkillers.

Nothing has helped so I called 111 last night who instructed me to go to A&E. They did, and they quickly ruled out any heart issues from an ECG and bloods (I didn’t think it was this anyway).

Because of this, they sent me home. I said I was still in a lot of pain so they gave me Gaviscon as well as some other painkillers in a canister. They said to let it settle and they will check on me.
Half an hour later I still had the pain, but they sent me home with nothing. They said it’s likely anxiety based because I “looked very anxious” and to just go home and rest.

I’ve woken up today with the same pain and sensations, and the sicky feeling.

I’m assuming it’s still acid reflux (although I’ve not really been made any clearer) and wondered if anyone had any tips or advice to get rid of this?

Thankyou

Keep upright, raise the head of your bed when you sleep (lots of pillows under your head or books under the top of the mattress)

Go to your GP. They can give you daily medication to reduce stomach acid

Keep a food diary, see if any particular food sets you off or makes it better. White bread is bad for me. Milk helps
