Has anyone tried a shapermint bra?

Any good? I’m not to sure what size I am so would need to work that out, my current bras are 40DD but seem a bit big on the cup and not giving enough support. I thought the shaper mint ones look quite good but interested to hear from anyone who’s tried them?

Are you actually a 40 because most of the support should come from the band so maybe that is also too big.

Sorry I know that wasn't the question!

Daffodilpup · 29/03/2025 11:13

I’m not sure. I was measured a few years ago so I’m sure it’s changed now. There’s a lack of places to go and be measured now. The little independent has closed and our M&S half an hour away has also closed. Not too sure where to go to get checked, will have to probably go and be measured somewhere before I buy one.

Get a tape measure and do it yourself.

There's a guide online. Look are Bravissimo or somewhere similar

Daffodilpup · 29/03/2025 12:51

I will do. Thanks. When you do it yourself on say the bravissimo page, do you need to buy from bravissimo or should the size fit other brands?

The size should fit other brands. Personally I find M&S awful.

I order from Next and return what I don't need.

So if it measures 38D, I'd order that and a 36F and maybe a 40C.

You go down a band and up a cup.

Don't buy cheap. This is something you are wearing 365 days a year. It needs to be quality and comfortable.

You also find different styles might need a different size, personally I like T-shirt bras as don't want lines or lace showing through clothing but have a plunge one that tighter so when up a band.

I have the shapermint bras and I really rate them. They're really comfortable and I'm not constantly readjusting.
I've really struggled with bras since having my eldest 6 years ago! Had some rubbish experiences with M&S bra fitting at 2 different stores, I tried measuring myself and ordering online several times, but could never seem to get it right. So figured I had nothing to lose by trying the shapermint bras and they're ideal for me. I forget I'm wearing them most of the time.

I’ve measured today and I measure 42 D so will order one in that size. What other sizes are similar to this? I’d like to order a couple of sizes to check I’ve got the best fit. I’m a bit confused as I wear a 40 DD at the moment and
i know they are too big so the D makes sense but I thought the band was too big too (unless my current ones have stretched perhaps. I think I’m going to order a t shirt bra from next and see how I go.

I have a few Shapermint bras and they are the best bra I've ever had. I've tried a lot to!

They are so comfortable and they give me a really good shape. I'm a 40E and I wear 2XL. I also have the high waist control/smoothing knickers and they are the comfiest control knickers I've ever worn.

Their returns are simple as well if they are not suitable.

My 17 year old DD loves the bras to, she swears by them.

Your 40DD should be ok. Are the shoulder straps tight enough?

When new you wear on the first hooks and then after usage and washing/age you move to the tighter hooks.

Daffodilpup · 01/04/2025 14:48

Thanks all. I ordered from next and the 38 DD seems better than the 40 D so I’m glad I ordered two sizes. The 40d band rides up my boobs if I move so a bit big. Feel like my boobs are now in the right place rather than by my belly 🤣

Shapermint Bras are the ABSOLUTE WORST BRAS EVER!! You can get better quality at dollar store! I ordered 4 at $49 each, the momeyi opened shipping package and saw the cheap individual packages I called/e mailed to REQUEST REFUND/RETURN (individuals packages unopened! You could see the seen in uniboob insert, the cheap construction/materialud the ton of metal clips on back! They absolutely REFUSE RETURNS/REFUNDS, " unless bras are defective or damaged in transit) The FALSE ADVERTISEMENT say 60 day fit guarantee! What a Joke! Can't believe shapermint has not been closed for their SHADY PRACTICES,FALSE ADVERTISING and absolute TRASH WORKMANSHIP!!!

pontivex · 30/06/2025 05:29

I e heard shocking things about Shapermint bras so never ordered.

off topic but are you sure you are 40/42? What clothes size are you? Only I’m several stones overweight a size 18 and I’m a 36/38G. That’s a very big band size. It should feel quite tight, fit snugly against your breastbone and you should only be able to get two fingers underneath.
if it’s riding up then its far to big!
M&S are bloody awful. When I was younger they declared that the 36d I was wearing was perfect. I went to Bravissimo straight after who measured me at 32FF. life changing.

Momg347 · 24/03/2026 13:35

Horrible and god forbid you try to reach a living person.

DingleDungle · 25/03/2026 22:47

Any more opinions on shaper mint? Quite a dramatic divide here between amazing and terrible!
