Wagons for kids - help!

Hi all

obviously not an AIBU, but posting for traffic.

does anyone in the UK use a wagon on days out? I know they are big in the states but not sure if they work as well here as spaces are a lot smaller. Ideally wanted to use it when we take dc to football (a lot of stuff to take as we watch with two toddlers so need snacks and bags etc) and often do beach trips as we have family near one. Also we park our car in an underground car park 5 mins walk from our house so will also really help when doing a food shop,

they just seem practical and like they would hold more than the buggy which doesn’t have much space.

does anyone have one and love it (one with kids seats) and does anyone have a particular one that they would reccomend?

there are the few I like but I don’t know if I’m missing anything? Please send me any recommendations!

Sorry, but I think a shopping trolley would be easier to use, those wagons look quite heavy, and with two toddlers and a load of shopping would be really awkward to get up and down pavements, or stairs! Also how would you get it in the car for shopping.even folded they look heavy and cumbersome, and unless you have a huge boot getting kids, shopping and wagon in and out would be a nightmare.

We have this one for days out and find it very useful, not great on sand due to the smaller wheels though. It has straps so little ones can be strapped in.
I have heard that the ones you can push and pull are better but they are much bigger so not sure how they’d be in tight spaces and probably a lot bigger when folded. Ours is very small and lightweight.

we have one similar to the first one you linked. Used it loads on holidays. Have pulled three kids <8yo and it’s easy enough on grass or concrete. Just not great on sand but nothing with wheels is TBF.

Ours is collapsible and has a neat little carry case. Always get loads of other parents asking where it’s from when we use it too.

I have one from when the kids were little, absolutely loved it. Ours is very basic compared to the ones you posted but while the kids can't ride in it now we still uSe it for festivals. Wish I had got it when they were even younger.

We got one (no seats) when we were just about to leave the buggy stage. We’ve used it a lot, trips to the beach is the main as we walk there, it’s incredibly handy. Then we’ve used it loads for day trips like zoos, theme parks, anywhere where we have a picnic, some coats etc. Occasionally a small child climbs in too when their legs get tired!
They are not always easy to steer, and not necessarily easy going up kerbs, but on relatively flat days out where crowds aren’t crazy they’re the best!

Oh I saw this one too! The straps is a bonus, my youngest is 15 months so she will need them. The other is nearly 4 so would be ok. Thank you!

This is what I was hoping for! We have a great buggy but I don’t always want to take it and thought this would be a great solution. Thanks for the feedback 😁

Edited

I need something my youngest can go in ideally. We do have a huge boot on our car which helps :)

We used a festival trolley on uk beach holidays. Much easier than pushchair to load up with ALL the stuff we needed (no just shoving a towel in plastic bag wasn’t enough IFYKYK).
with the added benefit that the children could sit on / in it.
my youngest also had naps in it when she was a toddler / preschooler.

Not a wagon, but we have one of these wheels baskets. Like a modern granny trolley. We also have to park in garage a few minutes walk away from house so it’s really handy for shopping. I also use for days at the lake/ beach.
