... If AI is being heavily trained on MN (using us as subjects) with all the "to think" threads with same style usernames, we should be told?

Is it MN AI in training for engagement? Is MN getting paid to allow someone else to train?

Some threads were deleted as returning troll, most stand.

It’s clear that something is going on at the moment. Those threads are deliberately antagonistic. So it’s either AI, someone with serious issues and a lot of time on their hands, or I thought perhaps some kind of study on human behaviour, perhaps for a PHD, then I thought that wouldn’t pass ethical standards.
AI exists and we can’t control it. Best not to bite and get riled up by the craziness.

I run some answers from thread where OP actually answered through free AI checkers and it showed AI. On some even 100%.

Yes, something is absolute going on. What's also bit worrying is the people fully engaging with it. Mainly because, as you say, the threads are antagonstic so people don't see beyond the topic.

Yes, AI exists, it is here to stay, but I am just not comfortable with discussion forum to be slyly AI led discussion with questionable threads tbh.

AI is only as good as the person, who wrote the algorithm.
I have frequently had arguments with AI (must be my 50% Cornish genes, as, allegedly, the Cornish can start an argument in an empty room).
AI is also only as good as the human, who checks the results.
There are things it can do quite well, but it always needs to be checked by someone with a lot of experience.
It will never have that experience.
