For your experiences with 5:2?

I did post this in the 5:2 topic but it hasn’t got any response. Im 11st and 5”7. I’ve just started calorie counting again which usually gets a stone off alright, but I saw an old thread where a woman of similar height and weight lost two stone easily on 5:2.

Has anyone had any success stories on it? I’ve googled and am still a bit lost but it seems to be eat 500 calories on two days then normally the rest. But what is normally? Should you still calorie counting?

Did you calorie count on the days you ate normally?

It’s funny how different people’s bodies are. I feel podgy and uncomfortable at 11stone. Im much happier at 10stone but I’ve let it creep up.

No calorie counting on the 5 days. By fasting on the 2 days, you are achieving a significant reduction in calorie intake across the week as a whole.
Lots of people find that you slowly become less hungry on the 5 days which also helps

I started doing it but found 16:8/18:6 daily, usually only eating between the hours of 1pm-8pm, or 2pm-8pm, more sustainable and have been doing it for several years.
