My husband takes magnesium at night, for restless legs (not officially diagnosed but symptoms fit), it helps him a lot.

Is he taking anything for it? I have restless leg syndrome, I use a magnesium spray on my legs.

Eating two bananas a day helped my brother and taking a magnesium tablet. It’s the combination of potassium and magnesium that helps apparently.

Going Decaf with the tea and coffee really helped me.

I had restless legs when I was anemic. Iron tablets sorted it very quickly, along with falling asleep all the time!

InSpainTheRain · 25/03/2025 21:23

Sleep separately! There is no reason you have to suffer from lack of sleep just because he has restless leg syndrome.

See if the doctor will prescribe Ropinrole - it’s the only thing that works for my partner and he’s tried EVERYTHING

Cake of soap under the bed sheet near the legs. It's the only thing that works for me.

My husband has this and we found out after he’d been deprived of chocolate for a month that chocolate and sugar are the culprits. It was magical.

Always got this when my haemoglobin was low. Try iron supplements see if it helps.
Magnesium also works with a lot of people.

JustTalkToThem · 25/03/2025 22:08

Is he doing anything for the restless legs? Are you doing anything for your anxiety?

What on earth is a cake of soap?

I use sweet bee magnesium butter to help with restless legs and general sleepy vibes. It does help me fall asleep but nothing seems to actually keep me asleep.

Get your own duvets. DH does some kind of foot dance when he falls asleep. The rage was very real as it repeatedly woke me up.

Most of the annoyance as dispersed since we got our own duvets.

thank you everyone so much

Magnesium supplement, and magnesium spray, a banana each day, and Rhus Tox homeopathic remedy.

Placebo.

DragonBalls · 25/03/2025 23:28

I wonder if the cake of soap or homeopathic remedy is more effective.

Ropinarole can have odd side-effects so Mg might be a better bet!
