If so, is there really a false staged reaction from a member of the audience? Read some very conflicting reviews but would have liked to have seen it because of the cast.
If you've seen it please share your overall opinion on this play.
Thanks

I have seen it, and a man did faint! No way of knowing if it was a ‘plant’ or for real, but I will say the content on stage didn’t seem faint worthy to me.

Yes I saw it and a man fainted. Didn't look staged as he made a weird noise and whacked his head right by my chair. Wouldn't people notice if it was the same man?!

I thought it was amazing - fantastic staging and acting. I think a couple of people slipped out quietly during That Scene but no one fainted or caused any commotion.

CatsChin · 24/03/2025 11:20

It was a very, very intense scene, and I can see why people fainted (especially men who probably have no idea how much of women's experience is literally bloodied!). I think once one person fainted there was almost a palpable relief as everyone else collected themselves.

It's the most incredible thing I've ever seen.

Thanks everyone and good to hear the positive reviews!

My friend saw it and said 3 people fainted. But it was very good!

I saw it and I nearly passed out! I was not expecting to have this reaction but I am a strong empath (possibly ND) and I felt quite hot. Suddenly the play was stopped just as I was about to have to leave the auditorium! Someone else fainted and saved me! I felt embarrassed as my acquaintance might have assumed I’d had an abortion or something which I haven’t.

The line about flushing the foetus down the toilet was a step too far for me, and I felt it was unnecessary. The impact had been made. I also didn’t understand the masturbation scenes and found them really OTT. But other people will say they were genius. The choreography and swift pace of the play was incredible - really I feel like I should watch it twice to appreciate it but I wouldn’t go again.

I’ve seen it and loved it. The show was stopped just after the abortion scene for about ten minutes as apparently someone was taken ill. I was surprised - I thought the scene was hard hitting, but not so shocking that it would cause that reaction.

I’ve heard rumours that the show stops due to medical incidents are fake. I don’t personally believe they are. But who knows!
