How often do you paint your walls for touch ups?

I was probably an idiot for doing white walls with a Husky when we gutted/redecorated our house. I know it might sound mental but I probably have the paint and roller out every 3 months. Less often in Summer. We put wood and tile down everywhere so the floor is not a pain at all.

Just curious what is the norm

I have a small pot of each colour to touch up if there has a been a repair or something but I don't routinely repaint the walls unless we're redecorating. I have 3 dogs and they are constantly getting muddy paws/tail marks on the paint, tend to just wipe it off. We've got quite colourful walls though, thick good quality paint. Previous house was an off white colour and that did need more roller coats when the dogs made it look a bit tired and grubby. Maybe change up the colours for something bolder unless you desperately want white/beige.

Never. Which i assumed was normal.

I’ve never done touch ups. If you get good quality paint in the first place it should last years. I had my whole house painted with Little Green paints which had a little bit of sheen so you could wipe scuffs off. When you wipe it there is no ‘powder’ coming off like cheap paints. The walls have lasted through kids and animals and are about due for a repaint after 8 years.
