What do you think about these bridesmaids dresses

So I had decided I would do petrol blue bridesmaids dresses with a few girls wearing blue and white floral dresses.

However, my head has been turned by these navy dressses. Ordinarily I would say navy is a shit color for a summer, daytime wedding. But my head has been turned. My flowers are going to be long stem roses - various shades of white, cream, blush pink with a tiny bit of green.

This particular shade of navy is really speaking to me!

I think I might just be subconsciously over trying to find the right floral bridesmaid dress though

wont look good on the little ones.

The colour is fine, but not the styles.

No, they're far too sexy for a BM,and unless your girls are all gorgeous models they'll look totally different in the flesh.

I've worn deep blue/ navy as a bridesmaid before, the wedding was in early September when it's still very mild and summery. It looked lovely - it was Coast, if that helps- so I'm sure your party will look good in navy. I wouldn't choose the dresses in your photo however, sorry. I think you need something more classic, especially for a church wedding. The last time I was a bridesmaid at a church wedding- 2023, no shoulders were allowed out to play!

Mine were in soft blue for my winter wedding but the flowers were white with greenery and some darker blue bits and it all looked good, so I'm sure your flowers will work really well. Your floral colours sound lovely.

My only thought is that if it's a sunny day and your outside for photos, the bms are going to be hot.

lovely navy shade for a autumn/winter wedding. Personally I'm too much of a traditionalist to pick that for summer.

I like the navy. Girl number 4 is far too titty for my liking though.

Gundogday · 23/03/2025 17:14

The navy blue would look stunning. I like the dresses above, even the booby one if it were hitched up a bit higher.

They look like going out out dresses.

SilvieBear · 23/03/2025 17:21

I think the navy looks lovely. I much prefer it to the lighter blue you posted Op.

Eyerollexpert · 23/03/2025 18:14

Navy is my favourite colour, however are all you bridesmaids going to be tanned as it is quite a draining colour for pale skin.
I absolutely love your original idea, that blue is stunning and I love the floral ones too. You have great taste.🙂

I only think booby dress is inappropriate. I think the rest are totally fine for a church

The thigh high split is more evening out than church wedding.

I like them. I think navy is a good colour no matter what time of year. It also sounds like it will go beautifully with the flowers you have picked.
What about the bridesmaids? Have they a say?
