Just curious if anyone has been through this.

3.5 year old hurt themselves jumping. Had no injury at all and has been fully worked up. However refuses to stand or walk. But will do everything else such as jumping like a frog or crawling with his feet on the ground.

it’s been two weeks now! And although there have been small steps, still not full progress. Ps I have tried everything !!!

When my daughter about age 8 she fractured her arm requiring surgery and was well past healing stage after the pin was removed, but would not use her arm for anything and was getting along fine without it Thankyou very much! She was completely rejecting it as a body part.

She was taught to very gently massage her favourite smelling cream into her arm every day by herself ( not the parents) and tell her arm kind things. We used to say, and get her to repeat in her own words “What a gorgeous looking arm you are ! “ “Thank you for being you beautiful, precious arm!” and sing silly rhymes or songs while she was gently rubbing the cream as she was emotional about having to rub the cream.

I hope your child is ok and no injuries that can’t be seen on xray, it’s no fun at all getting injured and hurt when jumping in your favourite game!

Yes there’s isn’t even any pain or tenderness. Has had ortho consult too. Blood work. Nothing. He just says he doesn’t want to walk now. But he does a tiny bit more each day. Just verrrrry slow.
