To be more annoyed than I should be at the cheesy motivational quotes at work. This includes managers /heads of service. I find them condescending and patronising. What's the reasoning for this shit?

Where are you finding them at work? Do yh y randomly drop it in a conversation? Send a morning motivational email? I can't say I ever experienced it in an average workplace.

I don't think I've ever come across these in any of my workplaces. Are people putting them on the walls? Including them in presentations? Saying them un-ironically to one another?

The new headteacher of a school we viewed for one of our dc used one when speaking about himself in a speech to students and parents at an open evening.

Someone at the back shouted "Wanker!"

You need to counter them with anti-motivational quotes of your own.
